The entrepreneur behind the Med-Pop is Meital Cohen, an experienced community pharmacist, with a strong perception of the market needs.
Working as a pharmacist she has encountered many people, older consumers in particular contending with reduced hand strength, who have complained about pharmaceutical packages. Some seniors found opening medicine containers so frustrating, even painful, that they took shortcuts. Common tricks have included leaving a cap loose or transferring pills to plastic sandwich bags.

The consumer convenience is not the only issue here. Difficult to use packages for pharmaceutical products represent a literally life or death situation. Poisoning have happened when youngsters have visited homes where no children live and they have happened when older persons carried medicines into homes that have small children.

The Med-Pop openers are so easy to use that the medicine consuming population will not feel the need to leave the bottle open in fear of failing the challenge to open their medicine bottle.

Our goal is to put an end to the frustration experienced by elders, motion handicapped and general medication consuming population when trying to disclose such bottles.
